10 Jun 2008 - Year 2 Met Prince Charles & Camilla
When we were in the Commandery they showed us how they made bread in the old day. Then suddenly....
PRINCE CHARLES came in! We were all feeling nervous until he spoke to us and he was really friendly.
Joseph.
I was nervous and had butterflies in my tummy. We had to line up and were the first to go in! We got badges with our names on. Next we had lunch and a bit of a run around before going in to start our activities. I really enjoyed my day, especially talking to Prince Charles. He was very friendly and asked us about the writing we do in school and what books we like to read.
Eleanor.
On Tuesday 10th of June 2008 Year 2 took a coach to the Commandery to see Prince Charles. We went through the building and got badges. Then we went outside and ate our lunch. Then we started our activities. I was in the dressing up group. We got dressed up and then Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles came in. They were followed by lots of cameras. They took lots of photographs. I didn’t like all the flashes but liked talking to Camilla!

To begin with I was very scared so I had a talk with Sophie my friend then I was very happy and looking forward to meeting Prince Charles. When I finished my lunch I played outside and we had fun. Then we went inside. My group were looking at some objects. Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles came to see what we were doing. They were very nice.
Ellie.
On Tuesday 10th June we went to the Commandery. We were escorted across the road and lined up upon the pavement next to a policewoman and we were the first into the building. We got badges with our names on. We were called V.I.P.P. That means Very Important Powick Pupils. We saw Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles enter the building. We all felt very excited and a little nervous. We didn’t need to though because Prince Charles was very nice. We watched him write with a quill pen and ink.

We were put in three groups inside. I was in Mr. Drewitt’s group. I was with my friends Luca and Leon. We had fun looking around the Commandery. We showed Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles what we were doing. Then we said goodbye to Prince Charles.

Year 2 had the best days of their lives.
Matthew.
I felt a bit nervous and a bit excited when I met Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles. I thought I was going to faint when I met them. We have been to the Commandery before in 2007.
Melissa.
Mrs Prosser was the last person to be born in the
Building so she was invited to meet Prince Charles
separately. Year 2 went together with Miss Maclean,
Mrs McInnes and Mr Drewitt. We had posh badges to
wear. We met Prince Charles. He asked me what my
favourite book was. Then he wrote with a quill and ink.
I told him to be careful he didn’t get ink on his sleeves!
When he left we waved to him and walked behind his
car. It was a Jaguar.
